Sunday, Nov. 20th: "Whatever You Do": Lectionary Bible Study Session God's loving concern is for all of creation and especially for those who are vulnerable, weak and oppressed. God's tender care is at work through Christ and through us, as we find Christ in another. This date is the Super Giveaway day, so let's explore together who to see Chris in other and live in ways so that others might see Christ in us in a study of the Matthew 25:31-46 and other lectionary texts.
Sunday, Nov. 27th: Advent Wreath Making Workshop The origins of the Advent wreath are found in the folk practices of the pre-Christian Germanic peoples who, during the December darkness, gathered wreaths of evergreen and lit fires as signs of hope in a coming spring. Christians kept these popular traditions alive, and used these symbols to celebrate their Advent hope in Christ, the Everlasting Light. Come and make a real evergreen wreath for your family, while learning more about other Advent symbols and traditions. We will also reflect on the Christian year past, and the one beginning. A $5 donation is requested to help cover costs of materials. YOU MUST REGISTER AHEAD! Please sign up. This is a very family friendly forum! Bring the kids!
